España es uno de los destinos turísticos más importantes del mundo, reconocido por su riqueza cultural, su diversidad gastronómica y la variedad de experiencias que ofrece. Este diploma te permitirá comprender mejor la realidad actual del país, su historia reciente, su modelo turístico y las oportunidades de desarrollo local vinculadas al sector.
A lo largo del programa aprenderás español, estudiarás la cultura y civilización de la España contemporánea y te formarás en turismo y hospitalidad, para después realizar prácticas remuneradas en empresas del sector.
Estructura del programa
El Diploma en Turismo y Hospitalidad se organiza en tres módulos formativos y un periodo de prácticas remuneradas.
Módulo 1 – Lengua española (200 h)
Impartido en el Centre d’Idiomes de la Universitat de València.
- ELE A1 – 100 horas
- ELE A2 – 100 horas
En este módulo adquirirás las bases del idioma español para desenvolverte en situaciones cotidianas, académicas y vinculadas al entorno turístico.
Módulo 2 – Diploma Universitat de València (300 h · 30 ECTS · EQF Nivel 7)
Diploma of Specialization in Culture & Civilization of Current Spain, Tourism and Hospitality
- Cultura y civilización de la España actual – 30 horas
- Historia reciente de Occidente y de la España contemporánea – 30 horas
- Introducción al desarrollo local – 60 horas
- Economía social – 60 horas
- Turismo y desarrollo local – 60 horas
- Emprendimiento en la actividad turística – 60 horas
Este módulo te proporciona una base sólida sobre la realidad social, económica y cultural de España, así como sobre el papel del turismo en el desarrollo territorial.
Módulo 3 – Hospitality Management (150 h)
Tourism in Spain in the 21st century — impartido por IHMGS en colaboración con Ecotur Valencia.
- Estructura del sector turístico – 25 horas
- Recursos humanos en alojamientos – 25 horas
- Marketing aplicado al turismo – 25 horas
- Protocolo y relaciones públicas – 25 horas
- Gestión de alojamientos turísticos – 25 horas
- Formación y orientación laboral – 25 horas
En este bloque te acercas de forma práctica al funcionamiento de alojamientos, recursos humanos, marketing turístico y gestión profesional de la hospitalidad.

An international program that combines Spanish language, tourism, culture, local development and hospitality in Spain. It is designed for students who want to deepen their understanding of Spanish history and culture, learn how the tourism sector works and gain real professional experience through a paid internship.
About the programme
Spain is one of the world’s leading tourist destinations, known for its cultural richness, gastronomic diversity and wide range of experiences. This diploma will help you understand today’s Spain: its recent history, its cultural background and the key role tourism plays in local and regional development.
Throughout the programme, you will study Spanish, explore the culture and civilization of contemporary Spain and receive specific training in tourism and hospitality, followed by a paid internship in the sector.
Programme structure
The Diploma in Tourism and Hospitality is organised into three academic modules and a paid internship period.
Module 1 – Spanish Language (200 hours)
Delivered at the Centre d’Idiomes of the University of Valencia.

This module provides the linguistic foundation you need to communicate in everyday situations, academic contexts and tourism-related environments.

- Recent history of the West and current Spain – 30 hours

This module offers a solid academic background on Spain’s contemporary society, its economic context and the role of tourism in local development.
Module 3 – Hospitality Management Course (150 hours)

This block focuses on the practical side of tourism and hospitality: how accommodation businesses are organised, how teams are managed and how marketing and service quality are delivered in real operations.
